This year’s Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union’s Festival began with a new event – a Prayer in the Parking Lot. The new opening to the Festival Week occurred on Monday, July 13 in the Monroe Street branch parking lot and Rev. Timothy Pettaway led the prayers.
The extremely hot late afternoon prayer session was well attended even though shade was not easy to find for attendees but the credit union followers turned out for the special first-time event.
The Prayer in the Parking Lot was followed by three days of intensive activity – the 21st African American Festival.
The Festival culminated in the music concert on Friday night in the Huntington Center.
