This screed is directed primarily at Black and Latino voters, who, in their hearts’ desire, want to be considered as white or “near” white as possible in their voting preferences…’love them some Trump!’
To me, the greater embarrassment is for any Black man or woman who has been in these United States for their entire lives, to pretend or act as if Trump is on your side and he is working for your good and that is why you voted Republican in 2024.
For any “hoity-toity” brothers or sisters, who believe that your academic status or zip code or fat bank account delivers you into the world of favor, privilege or would earn you a smile from Trump, you are woefully deluded.
You have been willfully deluded and snick snarled into a dystopian world in which you believe that you are somebody being a Trumpster. You believe that you can, along with a Candace Owens or a Clarence Thomas or a Tim Scott or the rest of the “negro hopefuls,” earn you way to receiving a pat on the head from Trump.
You intentionally swallowed the gruel that you if dance the Republican jig and tote the party line and denounce progressive black political positions, that the Trump family will open their
arms and call you one of their own.
You were willing to, if need be, smack yo’ Mama and rip up posters of Malcolm X and Thurgood Marshall if that is what it would take to be assimilated into the racist Trump world.
You revel being in the presence of the Trumpies and you grin and smile at the appropriate times when called upon to extol the verities of being in the MAGA camp, because if you play your race card right, money will magically come your way!…aka: Herschel Walker.
You are able to pontificate at a moment’s notice that it is good to do away with D.E.I. programs and you shudder at the word affirmative action (even though it was the door by which Clarence Thomas got into Yale Law School).
You do a fake rage at allowing a holiday for Juneteenth Day and you lay low when Martin Luther King Day is celebrated because you think it is an embarrassment to have such a federal holiday.
You have no qualm with debasing SNAP programs or Section 8 programs because, after all, you made it on your own and by golly, everyone should do the same! And at the same time, you are hoping no one checks the record to see that you or your family members benefited for a season with such social welfare programs.
During Black History Month, you are embarrassed that a month has been set aside to explain and understand a portion of American History that is constantly under attack because white
America’s history books are woefully lacking in the telling of the whole story of this country.
When you go to family barbeques, you assiduously avoid sampling the pigs’ feet or the greens and cornbread because it is unbecoming for you to sample such delicacies in a public place and you would be outed as the fraud that you are.
Now that your Dear Leader has expressly and explicitly called Barack and Michelle Obama
apes, you are using your sick days to stay away from work lest you be asked by your co-workers about this racist president using that flame thrower image of you being related to primates.
Make no mistake about it. Trump knew about that racist posting on the X media platform.
His flat out lies that he did not see the end of the video are a joke. He saw it. He liked it. He
reposted it. He did it because it is part of his DNA nature to exploit and ridicule Black people and Brown people. If he can call Black women, “bit*ches and call Somalians “garbage” and has a propensity to attack Black women whenever he can, he is a stone cold racist.
Trump has been recently asked by two American Catholic bishops to both renounce the
video and to apologize to the Obamas and to the nation for this craven act.
He said he will not and blames it on a “low level staffer” who, unknown to him, accessed his
social feed in the wee hours of the morning and posted this racist garbage.
Trump only took it down after 12 hours and blow back from both political parties. That is the only reason he backed off because that video represented his heart and beliefs.
Trump will not do as the two Catholic Bishops have asked for because it would mean that he was wrong and Trump has an allergy to admitting he is wrong about anything.
With that posting, Trump simply clearly stated to his deplorable MAGA base and to the half of the American voting populace that said they wanted four more years of his foolishness and putting these Black and Brown people in their place, as apes and establishing us as the enlightened white rulers of our Anglo-Saxon birthrights.
The moral rot that is in the White House is infecting society as a whole when its ‘leader’
is a person of proven moral depravity and has no conscience or class or even a rudimentary knowledge of American history or the rule of law. None.
So, with three more years of this swamp leader debasing all that he touches and calling what God has called as those made in His image, apes and garbage, hang on America, until your change comes.
