Winter Read!
Do your New Year’s resolutions include reading more? Let the Library help you resolve to read with our Winter Read challenge from Jan. 1 – Feb. 28.
Just read at least one book in January and February (two total books!)
* Register for Winter Read and get a pair of one-size-fits most TLCPL touch screen gloves for adults and kids (while supplies last.)
* Register and track what you read on the Beanstack Tracker app.
* You can also pick up a paper bookmark tracker in the lobby of any Library location or download a bookmark.
* Collect a prize for reading and logging at least two books by Feb. 28: a free book for kids and teens, and a winter mug for adults.

50th Annual Caldecott Read-In!
Help us predict a winner! Teachers, librarians, and children’s book fans have the chance to read and examine dozens of books and then vote to predict the winner of the Caldecott Medal. (

For the past 49 years our local Caldecott Read-In has been held in January to read and review the best picture books of the previous year. At this 50th annual Read-In attendees will receive a list of the best books of the year along with librarian reviews of our top ten favorites. Box lunch provided.
