The Taylor Automotive Family is proud to announce its transition to 100% employee ownership through the establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
This landmark transaction rewards the company’s hundreds of employees with ownership in Taylor Automotive’s network of dealerships and operations, including Taylor Cadillac, three Kia dealerships, three Hyundai dealerships, and a collision center. The transition also preserves the company’s legacy while positioning the organization for continued growth across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
Founded in 1979 by Stephen D. Taylor with a single Buick dealership in downtown Toledo, Taylor Automotive has grown into one of the region’s largest automotive dealership groups, selling nearly 1,000 vehicles each month while serving communities throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Taylor Automotive’s leadership team, including Stephen D. Taylor II and Peter A. Demczuk, will continue guiding day-to-day operations while empowering employee-owners to help shape the company’s future.
