Community Encouraged to Support Local Food Banks with a Single Click

Directions Credit Union is rallying the community to support local food banks during one of the most challenging times of the year. As the holiday season approaches, food banks across the region are experiencing a significant increase in demand, with many seeing requests rise by more than 30 percent. Families, seniors, and children are among those most affected as they work to secure nutritious meals during the holidays.
In response to this growing need, Directions Credit Union has launched a Holiday Food Bank Donation Rally to help ensure families across its service area can celebrate the season with hope and dignity.
From now through Sunday, November 23 at 12 p.m., community members can trigger a donation with a simple online action. For every like received on Directions Credit Union’s posts promoting the campaign on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, Directions will donate $1 to a local food bank, up to a total of $20,000.
Donations will be distributed among food banks based on the population each serves. Participating organizations include:
Monroe County Opportunity Program – Monroe County, MI
Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank – Serving 250+ agencies across eight Ohio counties
H.O.P.E. Food Pantry – Richland County, OH
Associated Charities & Ashland County Food Bank – Ashland County, OH
Greater Dover-New Philadelphia Food Pantry – Tuscarawas County, OH
Wooster Hope Center – Wayne County, OH
Willard Area Food Bank – Serving residents of Willard, OH
Care & Share – Erie County, OH
Through this campaign, Directions aims to help food banks provide holiday meals, essential groceries, and critical support to families in need. Every like on the Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn posts directly increases the total contribution, making participation easy and impactful.
