What a celebration it was! On Sunday, September 28, Rev. Cedric and First Lady Debra Brock celebrated their 32nd Pastoral Anniversary at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with the theme of “Light It up for Christ;” Matthew 5:16. But it was more than just a one-day celebration.
Area pastors and church leaders joined the Brocks and their congregation in the celebration and to honor their commitment to service.
Rev. John Williams of the Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church was there on September 19 in a leadup to the celebration; Pastor Darin Lawrence of East Grand Boulevard C.O.G.I.C. (Detroit) stopped by on September 21; Bishop Chaz Boes of Compassion at Calvary Church lent his voice on September 26 and Bishop Duane Tisdale of Friendship Baptist Church and Pastor Michael Prince of The Cross Church were participants for the Sunday celebratory service.
A community luncheon at 2:00 p.m. enabled congregants to pay their respects to the Brocks.
