Misha Stredrick, EdD, returns to Toledo from Detroit as the New superintendent of Maritime Academy. Stredrick received her master’s in education from Bowling Green State University in Curriculum and Instruction. She is Licensed by the State of Ohio in Life Sciences as well as to be a Superintendent.
She also has a doctor’s degree of Education from the University of Maryland. Stredrick has educational skills in teacher development, school mentoring and national law academy learning experience programs. She attended teacher achievement programs in Detroit.
She was a principal in the Baltimore School System. She was an assistant principal in Youngstown Ohio as well where she boosted the reading scores by 17 percent in one year. Dr. Stredick has nine published articles which are on line.
When TV 11 heard Stredick was returning to Toledo, they did a 20 minute on-air interview with her which can be seen online.
At present Stredick is working on increasing enrollment as well as teacher team building. She has already had well attended parent meetings. She is attending community meetings as well.
As you walk the halls of Maritime Academy you can tell it’s a new day there.
