The Prince Hall Masonic Family of Toledo blessed a local family on Sunday, December 8, 2024, during the Historic St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church service.
The blessing was initiated by the Prince Hall Masonic Family to benefit St. Paul, and Rev. Willis decided to pass the blessing along to a deserving family. Trebor Singletary, is the sole caregiver of her two grandchildren, one is a TPS student from Hawkins Elementary. The blessing was a monetary donation of $1,910.
“As your Pastor, I appreciate you,” began Rev. Willis. “When I received word about this donation, you were the first on my heart to receive this blessing.”
Ms. Singletary remained speechless as the congregation cheered and clapped for the family. One of her grandsons expressed words of gratitude to the church.
The historic St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church is in the Lincoln/Englewood/Junction community in Toledo. Rev. James H. Willis, Sr. is the Pastor and member of the Prince Hall Masonic Family of Toledo.
The service opened with scripture reading, soulful praise and worship, and spirit-filled congregational singing. Following the blessing, the service concluded with guest acknowledgements, sermon and closing remarks.
