The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) donated $1,000 to assist The Movement in carrying on its uplifting work in the community. Rev Cedric Brock, pastor of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, and Rev. Otis Gordon, pastor of Warren AME, presented the check to The Movement’s Celeste Smith at Warren AME on June 22.
Ironically most of the members of The Movement, particularly Tina Butts, the organization’s director, could not attend the donation event because they were busy helping residents of Point Place who were trying to recover from the tornado that had wreaked such havoc in the area.
