Toledo Library to Offer New Tutoring Resource

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library (TLCPL) is excited to announce the start of TutorSmart. TutorSmart provides free after-school tutoring for 1st – 8th grade students in the Greater Toledo area.

Lauren Boeke, TLCPL assistant youth services coordinator said, “We know kids need some extra support and we’re thrilled to have this new partnership to increase academic success for our local youth.”

TutorSmart will be providing academic tutoring at 5 Library locations:

Mott Branch (https://www.toledolibrary.org/locations/mott)

TutorSmart Executive Director Tiffany Adamski said, “By partnering with the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, TutorSmart can provide more students with access to free, high quality tutoring that helps them build confidence in their Reading and Math skills and is conveniently located in their neighborhoods. It is a win-win for our kids, our families, and our community!”

The program begins on May 16, more locations will be added this Fall. Students must be enrolled to participate. The program runs for 1 hour each day, Monday – Thursday, and students are taught by qualified teachers. Register here!
