Top Ladies Donate to Family House

The Ladies of the Toledo Chapter of (TLOD) Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. celebrated MLK Day serving the Toledo Community for TLOD’s National Day of Service with “Pink and Blue Day” on January 17, 2022.

On that day the Toledo Chapter members were greeted by the staff at the Family House as chapter members donated items to help the less fortunate.  The Family House is a nonprofit organization that helps families stay together in times of crisis.   The Family House has offered its services to the Toledo Community since 1985. They offer help to families and address a multitude of needs. Some of the services are residential programs, clothing closets, food, emergency shelter, health education and financial education.

The Toledo Chapter of TLOD provided toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, toothpaste, soap, mask, socks, shaving blades, deodorant, hand sanitizers, hand soap, wet ones, bleach and sanitizing spray.

The Toledo Chapter President Lady Mary McKinley-Reed and its members have continued to serve the community throughout the pandemic because they know that there is always work to be done. The Toledo Chapter members are Mary McKinley-Reed, Clara Petty, Denise Black-Poon, Clara Brank, Wanda Terrell-Galloway, Delores Bates, Delores Anderson, Madeline Standard, Barbara Tucker, Liz Flournoy, Denise Cardwell and Ann Colbert Battles.

Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and the Top Teens Of America are national organizations that serve over 120 communities.  TLOD is dedicated to the organization’s mission and its national theme. The National theme is “Celebrating Our Legacy, TLOD transforming lives, making a Difference, one teen, one lady and one community at a time.”

More the 57 years later TLOD still remain relevant in the pursuit excellence, with a deeper commitment to serving mankind.
