United Vision Baptist Church held a Community Day on August 14 at Wilson Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event offered children and families an opportunity to get free hair cuts, enjoy free food, play 3-on-3 basketball, jump in a bouncy house or enjoy a number of activities provided by vendors and community services – yard sales, health screenings, horse rides, raffles and school supplies.
DJ Keith Success supplied the music, Montrice Terry brought his band of young street and park cleaners and Nichole Johnson Cole brought the popcorn – lots of popcorn in dozens of different flavors.
