On Saturday, August 21, St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church brought their youthful members back to the church grounds for an afternoon of food and games, but also for some valuable life lessons.
“They haven’t been here in a year,” said Rev. James Willis, Sr, pastor of St. Paul’s, of his youthful flock of about 50. “This is to celebrate going back to school and coming to church again.”
In addition to the food and games, JoJuan Armour of the Mayor’s Gun Violence Task Force, stopped by to impart a lesson of non-violence and the Toledo Police Department Resource officer came to speak to the youth about safety.
