Special to The Truth
The City of Toledo Connecting Mentors & Improving Access to Careers Work Group, part of the Peace in Motion Strategic Plan, is seeking community partners interested in supporting youth and young adults impacted by violence through structured mentorship opportunities.
The goal of the initiative is to connect at least 100 youth and young adults with trusted, safe, and credible adults through high-quality mentoring relationships across the community.
To help the work group better understand existing mentoring efforts, organizational capacity, and interest in participating in this citywide initiative, the City is inviting organizations in the following categories to complete an interest form:
* Community-based organizations
* Faith-based organizations
* School-based mentoring programs
* Youth-serving organizations and initiatives
Organizations with experience serving youth and young adults, particularly those impacted by violence, trauma, or community instability, are strongly encouraged to participate.
Submission of the interest form does not guarantee selection for participation;
however, selected organizations may be considered for future collaborative opportunities and potential program support resources as the initiative develops.
Organizations interested in participating can complete the Connecting Mentors and Impacting Careers Initiative Interest Form (https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/mFSkq0MjcX?utm_source=City+of+Toledo&utm_campaign=d30ea46737-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2024_11_26_08_15_COPY_02&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-f7efb91cf7-275404386) by Friday, June 5.
