The daughters of Mecca Court No. 73 added to their resume of “honoring the call to serve” by visiting the Aurora House on Wednesday, May 4, and brining much-needed supplies for the residents – soap, shampoo, deodorant, baby oil razors, among other items.

Wanda Terrell-Galloway, 2022 Illustrious Commandress, and Toiya Coffee, chairperson of the Mothers’ Day Shelter Donations, brought together their fellow members at Aurora House to donate the personal care items to the house manager, Tasha Williams, and residents.

Aurora House has a maximum capacity of 11 residents or families, mothers or expectant women. Currently, due to the pandemic, there are four women, plus children in residence, said Williams.
