The Toledo Police Department continues to recruit for a projected class of 40 set for June of 2022. This is a new class, in addition to the academy set to begin this month on October 22, 2021. The National Testing Network (NTN) is accepting tests for TPD applicants. The testing and application process is open until November 30, 2021. Testing is generally in-person, but applicants can test on-line from home with proper equipment. After passing the NTN test, applicants will be required to pass a stringent background investigation, a psychological examination, and a physical fitness test. The Toledo Police Department is offering a test voucher for those who attend the test on October 30, 2021 at The University of Toledo-Health Science Campus.
