The Annual Business and Health Expo

Valerie Walston and State Sen. Paula Hicks Hudson

Special to The Truth

The 14th Annual Business and Health Expo was held on Saturday, April 5, at the new YMCA Wayman D. Palmer at 200 E. Bancroft Street. This allowed the guests and local entrepreneurs an opportunity to tour the beautiful facility and seek a YMCA membership.

There was a special presentation for the Kitchen for the Poor by The Social Butterfly Donnetta Carter to Harvey Savage, president – a donation of 500.00 dollars to support daily operations of the Kitchen.

The expo had over 60 entrepreneurs along with non-profit organizations and community resources such as the Imagination Station, Toledo Museum of Art, University of Toledo Medical Center, Mobile Health Unit for screenings, Hearing Life testing, City of Toledo, Department of Public Utilities and many more.

The first 100 guests received personalized swag bags, courtesy of The Social Butterfly.
