Community leader and City Council candidate Rob Pasker welcomed supporters on Saturday, September 25, at The Oliver House for his Pathways to Prosperity Fundraiser, an evening dedicated to building momentum for his campaign to represent Toledo on City Council.
The event, held from 6–8 p.m., brought together neighbors, small business owners, housing advocates and community leaders who share Pasker’s vision for a stronger Toledo.
“My campaign is about creating real Pathways to Prosperity,” said Pasker. “That means safe neighborhoods, strong housing opportunities and economic empowerment that lifts up families and businesses alike. Tonight isn’t just a fundraiser — it’s a movement to build the Toledo we all deserve.”
The fundraiser featured remarks from Pasker highlighting his decade of service in housing, small business development and civic leadership, as well as his commitment to turning vacant properties into homes, empowering local entrepreneurs and ensuring every resident has the chance to prosper.
Supporters who could not attend the event in person were encouraged to contribute online through the campaign’s secure portal: https://secure.anedot.com/paskerfortoledo/p2pfundraiser.
Pasker’s campaign emphasizes grassroots energy, community engagement and bold solutions for Toledo’s future. “This campaign is powered by people who believe Toledo’s best days are ahead. Together, we’re building the momentum to make it happen,” Pasker added.
According to the supporters present, Pasker is an amazing person who has contributed so much to the community. He is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to make life better for people in Toledo, they said.
Pasker is running for City Council at large to represent the people of Toledo. He noted that he wants to create a space for locals to join the movement and allow the people to voice opinions and learn more about his vision. He is advocating for safe and protected neighborhoods, and stable housing environments which is the foundation for families.
The candidate’s mission is to open doors for people so they can live their purpose. He wants to create a better version of Toledo. Toledo is one of the best places to invest in America, said Pasker. Out of state investors are buying up the land while the locals are struggling to acquire homes.
He also said that he wants equal response times when police are called across the city. He would like mental health professionals to assist in police interactions with the public and he would like to invest in crime prevention.
Pasker’s stated purpose is to build the kingdom on earth and open doors for multiple families. His passion is impacting lives and taking care of the people of Toledo by impacting the most people he can. He’s also passionate about helping the youth find guidance and support so they will be given the chance to grow in a safe place and be a product of a good environment.
He said: “We do not have to settle for just survival. We can thrive and work together to make Toledo Better. We need to make sure we use all opportunities available to us as a city to make life better and safer . We do have options for progress. He can not change the world alone and would love the support from the community in making a change.”
