Over 700 seniors came together from all over Lucas County on December 5 to celebrate the Area Office on Aging’s Annual Senior Holiday Party at the Premiere Banquet Center.
The mid-day event featured a formal sit-down lunch, a welcome from President/CEO Justin Moor and Board Chairman Rev. Barbie Harrison and entertainment by the Bluewater Kings Band and, naturally, a visit from Santa Claus. Sashem Brey, news anchor and reporter at 13abc served as the mistress of ceremonies.
Attendees came from the Lucas County Senior Center as well as senior housing centers, churches and other organizations around the area. The agency has hosted these holiday celebrations for two decades
