The Jesup W. Scott High School class of 1984 held their 40th class reunion on Friday, August 8 during Scott Bulldog Alumni Weekend 2024.
An estimated 63 alumni from Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Michigan and Colorado
gathered at Brookwood Metropark for an evening of fellowship, memories and laughs. “Everyone knows how prominent Scott High School students and alumni are,” said Cheryl Phillips, planning committee member. “ Our legacy and dedication to the school is unmatched, and we wanted to come together to celebrate and remember.”
A planning committee was re-established in March 2024, since the class of 1984 attempts to reunite every five to 10 years. Committee members: Sharron Cayson, Michael Edwards, Burnette Williams, Willie Shelton, Annette Jones, Kim Barker, Cheryl Phillips and Tim Barker.
Classmates honored deceased 1984 graduates with photos, names and words of comfort; gathered around news articles and photo albums and received catering services by Flava Spot in Toledo.
