Sylvania Franciscan Connections and Lourdes University invite the greater community for a lunch honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join Shanda Gore, EdD, as she explores Dr. King’s philosophy on leadership and civility. In interactive break-out groups, we’ll learn how to effectively – and peacefully – engage in difficult conversations to bring about inclusion.

Gore is the president and founder of Mays and Associates, Ltd., a global consulting company working with individuals and organizations for customized solutions in leadership development, strategic planning, and culture building. She has more than 25 years of experience and is a teacher, trainer and coach for individuals, small and large public and private organizations including those in higher education, K-12, health care facilities, and national member organizations. She hosts PinLeader™, a podcast available in 175 countries.

Her clients have included a wide variety of organizations and businesses including international engineering firms, law firms, medical colleges and hospitals, school systems, public-serving county agencies, non-profit volunteer organizations, and professional athletic leadership organizations.

This event is free of charge and is open to the entire community. A light lunch will be provided (until supplies run out.) Students may be eligible for class credits, per instructor’s discretion.
