Savvy Seniors Take on the Gordie Howe Bridge

Thirteen Savvy Seniors, ages 60 to 80, recently traveled to Detroit for a memorable adventure – walking the Gordie Howe International Bridge to Canada!

What began as a travel experience became so much more. The group completed the walk in a little over an hour, encouraging one another every step of the way. Together, they turned exercise into an opportunity for laughter, conversation, encouragement and friendship.

For the Savvy Seniors, traveling is no longer just about seeing new places. It is about living life, staying alive, nurturing friendships and investing our physical and mental well-being as we continue to age.

Savvy Senior Travel has grown into more than a travel group – it has become a community of friends who believe that getting older should never mean slowing down in life. Whether we’re exploring a new destination, sharing a meal, taking a walk or simply enjoying each other’s company, we’re creating memories while supporting one another along the way.

Thirteen seniors. One bridge. One unforgettable experience. And many more adventures ahead!!
