This role provides administrative and operational support for sponsorship, sales, and community partnerships across radio, television, and digital platforms by coordinating communications, preparing documents, maintaining records, tracking contracts and deliverables, and assisting with reporting and research. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and collaborative, with discretion in handling confidential information and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. An associate degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior administrative or customer service experience is also required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Occasional evening or event support may be required.

                  Audio Operations Assistant

WGTE Public Media is seeking a full-time Audio Operations Assistant to support the production, coordination, and delivery of radio, podcast, and streaming content. This role assists with recording, editing, mixing, and quality control of audio and video content using tools such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, and Adobe Premiere Pro, while supporting the day-to-day technical operations of FM 91 and WGTE’s digital platforms. The position includes studio and field recordings, uploading and managing content across distribution platforms, repurposing content for digital channels such as YouTube, and supporting podcasting and streaming workflows. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative environment, familiarity with digital content tools, and an interest in public media, storytelling, and emerging audio platforms.

    Radio Host (Part-Time)

WGTE Public Media is seeking a part-time Radio Host (Classical Music) to host live and pre-recorded classical programming on FM 91. This role includes hosting weekday live broadcasts from 9:00-11:00 a.m., producing evergreen classical content, voicing underwriting and promotional spots, and supporting fund drives, special programming, and community events. The ideal candidate has a strong, professional on-air presence, technical proficiency in radio studio operations and audio editing (including MusicMaster and Hindenburg Pro or similar systems), and a genuine passion for classical music and public media. An associate degree or equivalent experience is required; prior on-air radio experience and knowledge of public radio best practices are preferred.

Digital Marketing Specialist

WGTE Public Media is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist who is creative, organized, and passionate about connecting audiences with the mission of public media. In this role, you’ll support marketing efforts for WGTE’s TV, radio, and educational services, as well as development and outreach initiatives.

You’ll help strengthen WGTE’s digital presence across websites, podcasts, streaming platforms, the WGTE app, e-newsletters, and social media.

What You’ll Do

  • Write press releases, promotional content, and member communications
  • Design and coordinate e-blasts, newsletters, and digital campaigns
  • Manage and grow WGTE’s social media presence through daily posts and promotions
  • Update and maintain WGTE websites and online content
  • Graphic Integration/Creation
  • Support community outreach events through displays, materials, and public engagement
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent branding and messaging

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, media production, or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact)
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Special event coverage and coordination, including occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed
  • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising or public media ethics a plus
