Lance Self, Blair Johnson and Assets Toledo presented the third Garage Event- Ladies Edition – on Saturday, May 17, at Taylor Hyundai. Taylor’s expert mechanics showed the women in attendance how to make tire rotations, change oil, check fluids and brakes, replace wiper blades, among other auto mechanic skills.
About a dozen woman joined Self and Johnson in this third Garage Event – the first two having been held for young students.
“Our goal is to make this garage event an ongoing event,” said Self just before last weekend’s event began.
“There are still people who need the same lessons,” added Johnson.
Self added that the events have already started paying off, according to the feedback he has been receiving. Recently a parent texted him to thank him for the information imparted to her son who found himself temporarily stranded with a flat tire but was able to use the knowledge given him by the garage events.
“If you are driving, you need this information,” Self added.
Up next will be a session for men sometime this summer!
