Special to The Truth
The Toledo Adult and Youth Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. (NANBPWC) bought Joy to the Lucas County Children Services during the first week of December 2021.
African American Dolls were given to the children for their annual Christmas Cheer Program. During Covid-19 and social distancing, this year the dolls were collected by the members of the Toledo Adult and Youth Clubs and delivered by Ethel Scott, the Toledo Club Membership Chair.
Toledo Club President Tyra Smith and the members know how important Christmas is to the children at The Toledo Lucas County Children services. There are boys and girl who have never had the pleasure of playing with African American Dolls and having toys. The Toledo Club of NANBPWC believes that they will help many African American Children have a chance to enjoy their Christmas season
With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting everyday life, we thank you for your continued support and wish you and your community health and peace. Right now, the Toledo Club of NANBPWC, Inc. and the community faces new challenges. As we adapt to these unprecedented circumstances, we’ll continue to serve our communities as best we can.
