The 7th Annual Toledo Juneteenth Celebration was held at Glass City Metropark Friday, June 19th. The event, entitled “The Toledo Juneteenth Celebration: Past, Present, & Future” was hosted by Toledo’s Juneteenth Celebration (419TJC) and featured live music and entertainment, food trucks and vendors.
The free event hosted from 3:30-9pm included visual arts installations, musical performances from soulful blues and traditional drumming to futuristic sounds, a tribal showcase featuring authentic storytelling and dance, and a food and vendor area to support local black owned businesses. There were activities for all ages to learn and celebrate the holiday together!
