F.A.M.E.D. Studios on 2610 W. Central Ave. hosted their third annual community dinner in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. Owner Shawanda Johnson-Clarke attributes the idea to her husband acknowledging the need for a gathering style of celebration similar to those for Thanksgiving.
The F.A.M.E.D. family and staff pulled together to host a full feast amidst their studio rehearsals. Shawanda brings the community together for a feast in celebration of Dr. King to display that “even with birthdays or transitions of life, each time is a celebration.”
F.A.M.E.D. Studios has been serving the community for 14 years through performing arts and social-emotional skill programs with a focus on youth development. The dance studio specializes in several styles, including jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, praise dance, and cheer. The studio looks forward to accepting new students into programs that find their interest on FamedStudios.com.
