\nholiday season. Here are some of the local organizations that need our
\nhelp!<\/p>\n

LEADING FAMILIES HOME<\/p>\n

Leading Families Home offers emergency shelter and behavioral health
\nservices. They have two shelters in Toledo, one on N. Erie and one on
\nAshland Ave that is currently under renovation. The new location will house
\n3x as many families as their current shelter. To support LFH, you can
\nsponsor their \u00a0Winter Wonderland event, browse their \u00a0Amazon wishlist.<\/p>\n

SEAGATE FOOD BANK’S PROJECT PJ<\/p>\n

SeaGate Food Bank is collecting PJs (including teen sizes), slippers,
\nblankets, pillowcases, books, stuffed animals, and hygiene items to help
\nlocal children who don’t have bedtime necessities. You can make a monetary
\ndonation \u00a0here or browse their Amazon wishlist.<\/p>\n

SUSIE’S COATS<\/p>\n

Susie’s Coats provides children in need with winter gear in Lucas, Wood,
\nFulton, Hancock, and Sandusky Counties in Ohio as well as Monroe County,
\nMichigan. All children served by the organization receive a new winter
\ncoat, hat, and gloves. To date, over 30,000 warm apparel items have been
\ndistributed.<\/p>\n

BED RACE TO AID CHILDREN, INC<\/p>\n

This Monroe, MI cause has provided 3,500 beds to children in need. The Sled
\nRace will be held in Downtown Ida on Friday, December 2nd. Help Bed Race to
\nAid Children reach their $50,000 goal by registering for the lively event
\nor by making a donation.<\/p>\n

FINDLAY HOPE HOUSE<\/p>\n

Hope House provides transitional shelter and helps individuals into
\npermanent housing. They also provide case management and rental assistance
\nfor people in danger of losing their homes. Hope House is in need of
\ntoiletries, cleaning products, and gift cards. Donate and learn more.<\/p>\n

TOLEDO NORTHWESTERN OHIO FOOD BANK<\/p>\n

The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank serves Defiance, Fulton, Henry,
\nLucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood Counties. 100 million pounds of
\nfood has been distributed since 1984. You can help them raise money for
\nOperation Turkey which provides families with a hot, nutritious
\nholiday meal.<\/p>\n

TOYS FOR TOTS<\/p>\n

There are plenty of ways to make local Toys for Tots donations. Click on
\nthe counties to donate online or find a toy drop site: \u00a0Lucas and Wood, \u00a0Hancock , \u00a0Monroe and \u00a0Wayne.<\/p>\n

SALVATION ARMY<\/p>\n

You can make the holidays brighter through the many programs offered by the
\nSalvation Army. Find out how to help in \u00a0Hancock, \u00a0Wayne, \u00a0Monroe, \u00a0Lucas, Ottawa and Wood Counties.<\/p>\n

LUCAS COUNTY CHILDREN SERVICES<\/p>\n

Contribute to the LCCS \u00a0Holiday Gift Drive to ensure that every child
\ninvolved in the agency receives a special gift this holiday season. You can
\nalso help families monetarily or by donating to the LCCS year-round items.<\/p>\n

WAYNE COUNTY CHILDREN SERVICES<\/p>\n

Become a sponsor and get matched with a child for the \u00a0Traditional
\nChristmas “Make a Wish” program. Sponsors are asked to spend $100-150
\non brand new items. You can also make a financial contribution or donate
\n“filler gifts” to assist with the last minute needs of children who become
\ninvolved with Wayne County Children Services close to the holiday.<\/p>\n

THE AMERICAN RED CROSS<\/p>\n

The American Red Cross of Heartland, Stark, and Muskingum Lakes is
\ncelebrating its 2022 \u00a0Festival of Trees. You can sponsor the event by
\npurchasing from their three unique holiday tree offers.<\/p>\n
