The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) held its installation of officers Sunday, January 30 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. The speaker for the evening was Rev. Kenneth Flowers, Senior pastor of Greater New Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan.<\/p>\n

Rev. James H. Willis, of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, served as the presiding officer of the ceremony. The spirit-filled celebration was led in worship by Mt. Nebo\u2019s praise team.<\/p>\n

Opening prayer was given by Janice Carson. The scripture for the evening (Luke 18:35-43) was read by Rev. Bill Harris of Rapture Ministries. Pastor Damon Horton led the offering.<\/p>\n

Rev. Le Roy Williams, first vice president of IMA, introduced the speaker, Rev. Flowers. \u201cIt is an auspicious honor,\u201d said Williams, \u201cwhenever you introduce someone who carries on the legacy of leadership in our community.\u201d Flowers\u2019 message was \u201cOpen Our Eyes Lord\u201d (Luke 18:35-43) and can be viewed on IMA\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Bishop Pat McKinstry led the installation ceremony, \u201cWhen I look upon your faces, I know that your faces represent all of us in this city\u2026\u201d she addressed the members of IMA. \u00a0\u201cI have no doubt that in 2022 we are going to see some turn around (in the city).\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2022 officers of IMA are Pastor Cedric Brock (Mt. Nebo Baptist Church), President; Rev. Le Roy Williams, First Vice President; Tim Clark (Harvest Christian Life Center), Second Vice President; Pastor Damon Horton (Corinth Baptist Church), Secretary; Otis Gordon (Warren AME Church), Treasurer; Pastor Shirley Sparks (Walls AME Zion), Chaplain; Bill Harris (Rapture Ministries) Parliamentarian;\u00a0 Pastor Robert Birt (Glass City Church), Sergeant at Arms; Bishop Pat McKinstry (Worship Center Church), Advisor; Dr. Rev. James H. Willis, Sr. (St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church) Advisor.<\/p>\n

The invocation was given by Pastor Timothy Clark of Harvest Christian Life Center. Following the invocation came remarks by IMA president Rev. Cedric Brock. The benediction was given by Flowers.<\/p>\n
