Her<br \/>\nleadership has impacted countless fathers, mothers, youth and families<br \/>\nwhile helping reshape how the community engages fathers as essential<br \/>\npartners in family well-being.<\/p>\n<p>Known for combining vision, strategy, collaboration and systems thinking,<br \/>\nFiles has spent years building sustainable models, strengthening<br \/>\npartnerships, securing transformative funding and creating pathways for<br \/>\nfathers to become more engaged in the lives of their children and families.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her leadership and program development work, Files has<br \/>\nbecome a sought-after trainer, facilitator, speaker and subject matter<br \/>\nexpert in the fields of Healthy Marriage, Responsible Fatherhood, family<br \/>\nengagement and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has<br \/>\ntrained professionals, facilitated workshops, presented at local and<br \/>\nnational conferences and provided technical assistance to organizations<br \/>\nseeking to strengthen outcomes for fathers, families and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Among her many accomplishments are:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Serving three years as Chair of the Lucas County Fatherhood Coalition<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Developing the Brothers United Fatherhood Coalition<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Helping design, implement and lead a nationally recognized Healthy<br \/>\nMarriage and Responsible Fatherhood program model serving young Black<br \/>\nfathers ages 20\u201324<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Leading, alongside a team of professionals, the implementation of the<br \/>\nprogram model from 2015\u20132020<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Completing a gold-standard Randomized Control Trial evaluating outcomes<br \/>\namong young Black fathers<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Helping secure approximately $1.25 million annually over five years to<br \/>\nsustain and expand fatherhood programming<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Building a highly recognized fatherhood program model with strong<br \/>\ncommunity partnerships and long-term sustainability<\/p>\n<p>Files reflects on her work with pride, gratitude and confidence in what<br \/>\nhas been built.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe the foundation has been laid,\u201d she said. \u201cTen years of<br \/>\nrelationship-building, program development, community trustand systems<br \/>\nwork created something sustainable that can continue serving fathers and<br \/>\nfamilies for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also expressed appreciation for Pathway Inc. and the opportunities the<br \/>\norganization provided throughout her leadership journey.<\/p>\n<p>As the designated Community Action Agency for Lucas County, Pathway Inc.<br \/>\nhas played a critical role in addressing poverty, strengthening families<br \/>\nand supporting underserved communities. Files credits the organization with<br \/>\ncreating an environment where innovative fatherhood and family-centered<br \/>\ninitiatives were able to grow, evolve and become respected locally and<br \/>\nnationally.<\/p>\n<p>Under her leadership, several additional family-strengthening initiatives<br \/>\nwere developed, including:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Sisters United (2020)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 BYOUth and SYOUth Healthy Relationship Programs for youth ages 12\u201317<br \/>\n(2021)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Brothers and Sisters United Co-Parenting Program (2021)<\/p>\n<p>Between 2020 and 2025, Files and her grant-writing team successfully<br \/>\nsecured more than $5 million in grant funding to support program expansion,<br \/>\nstaffing, direct services and long-term sustainability efforts benefiting<br \/>\nfamilies throughout the community.<\/p>\n<p>Building upon years of experience as a respected trainer, facilitator,<br \/>\nspeaker and practitioner, Files is now entering a new chapter as an<br \/>\nOFA-approved Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood expert and<br \/>\nconsultant with Manhattan Strategy Group. In this national role, she<br \/>\nprovides technical assistance, strategic planning, training, workshop<br \/>\nfacilitation and organizational consultation to federally funded programs<br \/>\nacross the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to Manhattan Strategy Group, Files is recognized as a highly<br \/>\nrespected consultant with specialized expertise in Healthy Marriage and<br \/>\nResponsible Fatherhood programming, helping organizations strengthen<br \/>\noperations, improve participant engagement, navigate federal requirements<br \/>\nand build sustainable systems that create measurable outcomes for fathers,<br \/>\nfamilies and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Today, her work has evolved beyond operating programs. She is increasingly<br \/>\nfocused on changing systems\u2014helping organizations, agencies and<br \/>\ncommunities rethink how fathers are engaged and included in conversations<br \/>\nsurrounding family stability, infant health, child welfare and community<br \/>\nwell-being.<\/p>\n<p>Her current areas of focus include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fatherhood and Child Welfare<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fatherhood and Infant Mortality<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Community Engagement Strategies<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Healing-Centered Family Support Models<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Organizational Systems Change<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Staff Development and Training<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 National Technical Assistance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Strategic Program Development and Sustainability<\/p>\n<p>While her professional reach continues to expand nationally, Files remains<br \/>\ndeeply committed to local impact.<\/p>\n<p>Through Rise Above Foundation for Families, she will continue advancing<br \/>\nwork focused on fatherhood, child welfare, maternal and infant health,<br \/>\nfamily healing and community empowerment. She will also continue serving<br \/>\nas Outreach Coordinator at First Church of God, maintaining strong<br \/>\nconnections to faith-based engagement and community service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat once began as direct service work has evolved into a larger mission,\u201d<br \/>\nFiles said. \u201cThis is not simply a career transition. It is an expansion of<br \/>\npurpose. I believe fathers matter, families matter and communities heal<br \/>\nwhen we intentionally invest in both.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her personal motto remains the same:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChange a FATHER Change a FAMILY.
