The hours will be 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. from June 1 to July 4. The hours will be 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. from July 5 to Aug. 15. (Roosevelt Pool will be closed on Mondays. Pickford and Navarre pools will be closed on Tuesdays.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe previously announced that all six public pools and the Savage Park Splash Pad would open for the 2021 summer season beginning on June 1,\u201d Mayor Kapszukiewicz said. \u201cBased on the current number of lifeguards we have, we will be able to safely open only Navarre, Roosevelt, and Pickford pools.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Willys Pool, 1375 Hillcrest Ave., will open on June 7 if the current class of lifeguards successfully completes certification.<\/p>\n<p>The city needs at least eight more qualified lifeguards to open the remaining pools and the splash pad \u2013 Jamie Farr Pool, 2000 Summit St., and Wilson Pool, 3253 Otto St., and the Savage Park Splash Pad, 645 Vance St.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike many pool operators, locally and across the nation, we have struggled to hire qualified lifeguards,\u201d the mayor said.<\/p>\n<p>All lifeguard certification costs are paid in full by the city.
