Stewart, Margaret \u201cRusty\u201d Monroe and Gloria Steinem, among others. Local young women have built and decorated chairs in honor of these women. The chairs are for sale as part of the WOT and TSA shared fundraising effort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an annual observation that highlights women\u2019s contribution in history and celebrates social, economic, cultural and political achievement,\u201d said WOT member Mary Brucker as she led off the press conference that was attended by a number of TSA students.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15451 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8940-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8940-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8940-370x245.jpg 370w, https:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8940.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Brucker went on to describe some of the upcoming events that are of special interest during this year\u2019s Women\u2019s History Month: International Women\u2019s Day Luncheon on Monday, March 10; Northwest Ohio Business Mentoring Program on March 12; HeForShe Connectors Social at Quench &amp; Tempered on March 19; HerHub Networking Luncheon at Toeldo Botanical Garden on March 20; Women\u2019s History Month Bunch So Hard at TolHouse on March 23.<\/p>\n<p>Julia LaBay, program coordinator for WOT, spoke of the displays, the chairs, a critical part of the fundraising campaign, that have been created by GirlsHub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach chair is a unique expression of identity and achievement,\u201d said LaBay. \u201cThrough carpentry and art our builders have created chairs that reflect their experiences, the voices and beliefs of the women that came before them \u2026 it challenges the status quo and inspires others.
