Well, it is over. Over for the voting for the president of the United States.<\/p>\n

Over for all of the political voices that were shouting from the roof tops that<\/p>\n

allowing a convicted felon, a sexual abuser and a chronic serial liar to return to power would mean a clear and substantial erosion of democratic values.<\/p>\n

Over for the NATO members who looked to the US as their bastion of hope and a bulwark against the nefarious designs of Putin.<\/p>\n

Over for women\u2019s reproductive rights. Over for those \u201ctrashy\u201d Puerto Ricans who<\/p>\n

voted in record numbers to stop a racist from placing his heel on their neck.<\/p>\n

Over for the rule of law being pre-eminent in this land.<\/p>\n

Over for any sense of administrative\/regulatory law being applied against<\/p>\n

corporate fat cats and the GOP billionaires who backed Don The Con.<\/p>\n

Over for a respect for judicial balance and temperance. Over for Trump being<\/p>\n

held accountable for his gross sins that are reflective in the lawsuits that for all<\/p>\n

practicable purposes are resigned to the judicial dustbins never to see the light<\/p>\n

of day.<\/p>\n

Over for skilled administrators and civil servants to provide the critical skill sets necessary to keep the government rolling along without being jarred to a near halt due to an army of neophyte Trump loyalists potentially descending like a voracious locust horde on the federal infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Over for America to boast that we are a nation of laws and checks and balances. Those statements will be sorely tried and tested in the upcoming<\/p>\n

weeks and months.<\/p>\n

A certain swath of Americans drank the Kool-Aid of Trump\u2019s despair,<\/p>\n

gloom, outrageous lies and images of America being a garbage can that only he can fix it and reverse the course.<\/p>\n

The MAGA GOP and its allies in the news media churned out lies, distortions and half-truths for years on behalf of their Dear Leader because they, in their heart of hearts, agreed with his dystopian view of America and were willing to experiment with scenarios straight out of George Orwell\u2019s novels, 1984<\/p>\n

and Animal Farm.<\/p>\n

And unless Trump is removed from office via the 25th<\/sup> amendment, America<\/p>\n

has sown its seed to the wind and will now reap the whirlwind.<\/p>\n

Capitals in Russia, China, North Korea, Hungary and Turkey are dizzy with joy because their slugger, Don The Con, hit a bases loaded home run in the bottom of the ninth inning\u2026and they win!<\/p>\n

Will the MAGA GOP faithful be exuberant? Of course\u2026until the \u201cpolicies\u201d<\/p>\n

or \u201cconcepts\u201d of Trump and his misanthropes come to their hometown and they<\/p>\n

only then come out of their stupor and are viscerally gripped<\/p>\n

by the awful reality of what they have done.<\/p>\n

I have always said that democracy is a fragile butterfly that must be protected at all costs, or it will slowly shrivel and die because eternal vigilance was not the<\/p>\n

all-encompassing shibboleth or watchword.<\/p>\n

Now, Don The Con and his enablers will have nigh free reign and unobstructed<\/p>\n

power to run amuck and feed their darkest impulses to get \u201crevenge\u201d on whomever they believed shorted them, mocked them or did not respect them.<\/p>\n

Unchecked privileges and power will plunge this country into further despair<\/p>\n

and apathy which is the perfect recipe for an unchecked villain, such as Trump,<\/p>\n

to feed his malignant appetite increasingly with an unrequited diet of revenge and political cruelty.<\/p>\n

Count on it that as water is wet, Trump will simply be a token president, golfing most days, while his cabal of sycophants actually run the government and run it into the ground. You saw what similar people did in his last<\/p>\n

administration. Why would it change now?<\/p>\n

And do not place your faith in the resoluteness of the Supreme Court to<\/p>\n

check his excesses in light of their recent dreadful decision to give him<\/p>\n

immunity for acts done while in office. It is now a Trump court and with any<\/p>\n

future appointments coming via the arch conservative Federalist Society.<\/p>\n

Yet. All of this was presented to the American voter many months ahead of time as seen in Trump\u2019s cruel and vicious rallies and in the published Project<\/p>\n

2025 which was the blueprint of all things evil that would be implemented if he were to regain power.<\/p>\n

Well, it happened and now the country will be in the throes of angst and<\/p>\n

fraught with anxiety and despair as one part of the political spectrum attempts to rebalance the scales.<\/p>\n

Trump won and America lost. What didn\u2019t you and what don\u2019t you now\u00a0 understand?<\/p>\n

A secret from me to you: one of the underlying \u201ctruths\u201d that MAGA<\/p>\n

holds on to (and also many White Nationalist Christian churches) is that they believe that America was designated by God to be a nation for European White Christians; and their actions to affirm that warped belief, undergirds their conviction that Trump is God\u2019s appointed man for this hour. Talk about a false<\/p>\n

doctrine emanating from too many churches!<\/p>\n
