{"id":17479,"date":"2025-10-16T19:24:35","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T19:24:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/?p=17479"},"modified":"2025-10-16T19:26:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T19:26:41","slug":"olivia-holden-hosts-a-gathering-for-a-few-close-friends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/16\/olivia-holden-hosts-a-gathering-for-a-few-close-friends\/","title":{"rendered":"Olivia Holden Hosts a Gathering for a Few Close Friends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Fletcher Word<br \/>\nThe Truth Editor<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday, Olivia Holden, executive director of Assets Toledo, brought together about a dozen and a half Toledoans, outstanding women each and every one, for a luncheon at the Assets headquarters in order to meet new friends and build new bridges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy not connect people?\u201d asked Holden at the start of the luncheon. \u201cI didn\u2019t want people who are in the news every day, I wanted people whom I have gotten something from and, each of you, trust me, have given me more than you\u2019ll ever know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The luncheon, catered by CHARTcuterie Creations by Neda Archie, was itself outstanding, featuring a buffet of curried cashew chicken salad, deviled eggs, along with assorted fruits and pastries.<\/p>\n<p>Holden requested that each guest sit at a table with someone whom she had never met<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe goal [today] is for you to meet someone else that you have never met before and from this day forward you are going to have a buddy,\u201d she told them. \u201cAs you talk to each other, you are going to find the same problems \u2026 such as jobs.
