It was the perfect backdrop for the most recent Sister2Sister Conversation<\/strong>, hosted by Amy Hall and Stayce Fowler.<\/p>\n

The theme? \u201cAwakening.\u201d<\/strong> And no, not the kind where you hit snooze five times before crawling out of bed. We\u2019re talking about really waking up\u2014to your habits, your triggers, your dreams and who you\u2019re becoming.<\/p>\n

Amy Hall, a respected business leader<\/strong> and entrepreneur<\/strong>, is known for her no-nonsense warmth and the way she blends faith, focus and female empowerment.

That line hit hard for a few heads in the room. We all nodded, because we\u2019ve all been there, when life starts breaking down, acting up, falling apart. But maybe it\u2019s not falling apart. Maybe it\u2019s clearing a path.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cChaos doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re doing something wrong,\u201d another added. \u201cIt means something bigger is being born. So sit with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of asking, \u201cWhy me?\u201d ask, \u201cWhat is this trying to teach me?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to think of myself as unfolding like a flower little by little,\u201d Fowler reflected.<\/p>\n

Are You Letting a Five-Year-Old Drive Your Car?<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most talked-about moments of the event was when Hall and Fowler compared our inner child to a backseat driver gone rogue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no way you would let a five-year-old drive a car,\u201d shared Hall. \u201cBut when we let our fears, our childhood wounds, and our old stories make decisions for us\u2014that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

We all carry past experiences that shape how we respond to life. But are they still serving us?<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of those thoughts were born when I was seven. I was told, \u2018Don\u2019t speak unless you\u2019re spoken to.\u2019 And that voice still shows up when I\u2019m in meetings, when I need to speak on panels, even when posting on social media,\u201d shared Fowler.<\/p>\n

Ask yourself: Is this belief mine, or is it something I picked up along the way?<\/p>\n

Ego Talks Loud. But Truth Whispers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amy and Stayce exchanged reflections on how the ego often disguises itself as a form of protection<\/strong>, when really, it can be a barrier to growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ego wants to protect you, not evolve you,\u201d Fowler said during the conversation, a line that instantly resonated with the room.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll keep you small in the name of safety,\u201d Hall added, expanding on the thought.<\/p>\n

Their words served as a powerful reminder: sometimes the very voice that feels like it\u2019s keeping us secure is actually holding us back.<\/p>\n

But the truth? Truth doesn\u2019t need to shout.<\/p>\n

Truth shows up like a whisper. Like a dream you can\u2019t shake. Like that tug in your gut when something\u2019s off.<\/p>\n

Another voice added, \u201cThe older I get, the more I trust those whispers. Even when they don\u2019t make sense right away, they always lead me somewhere better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most powerful thing I\u2019ve ever done was give myself grace. Even when I wasn\u2019t proud. Even when I didn\u2019t feel \u2018spiritual\u2019 or strong or successful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to let people walk all over me in the name of being \u2018nice,\u2019\u201d said a voice in the room. \u201cBut being nice doesn\u2019t mean being a doormat. Being loving doesn\u2019t mean being drained.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s family, friends, or your job, sometimes boundaries are your best form of self-care.<\/p>\n

One powerful moment came when the conversation turned to social media. There was no hate\u2014just honesty.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to think I had to post everything to prove I was doing okay,\u201d someone admitted. \u201cBut now I take my pictures outside, away from my home, and I keep some moments just for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another added, \u201cSocial media isn\u2019t evil. It\u2019s a tool. But we have to be careful not to base our identity on likes or comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Your life is still valuable, even if nobody hits the heart button.<\/p>\n

What do you<\/em> want your online presence to reflect about your real life?<\/p>\n

Start Where You Are. Start Now.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in my 40s now and I just cut all my hair off,\u201d I said, smiling. \u201cNot for fashion, for freedom. I was hot, uncomfortable, and tired of holding on to stuff I didn\u2019t need anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

That moment sparked laughter, but also cheers. Because sometimes growth looks like letting go.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople say \u2018start young\u2019\u2014but honestly? Start whenever you\u2019re ready. Start at 7. Start at 70. Just start.\u201d<\/p>\n
