The Padua Center announces \u201cThe Annual Padua Summer Party\u201d to be held on
\nJuly 12, 2025 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at 519 Junction Street (corner of
\nJunction Avenue and Nebraska Ave.). \u00a0The party will feature activities for
\nadults and children, food, games, and a number of vendors.<\/p>\n
The party, held at Junction Park and the Ujima Park and Garden, 519 Junction Ave (at the corner of Junction Street and Nebraska Avenue) is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
There will be children\u2019s games (which are free), an opportunity to play
\nchess, sponsored by Keith Carswell, chess & sign Language, food trucks,
\nBBQ, craft vendors, bingo, and a rummage sale. Children will enjoy the
\nBouncy House, as well as a number of other games and activities. A
\nperformance by the My5tery Music Drumline will provide entertainment.<\/p>\n
This event will highlight the work of The Padua Center, especially the
\neducational activities that are provided free for children of the
\nneighborhood. \u00a0Free after school tutoring during the school year and seven
\nweeks of summer camps provide enrichment \u00a0for the children of the
\nneighborhood and assist them with their academic progress. \u00a0The programs
\nare for children from K-8th grade.<\/p>\n
The Padua Center, founded in 2006, provides educational and environmental
\nopportunities for children of the neighborhood. \u00a0In addition to the Padua
\nSummer Party, The Padua Center sponsors \u00a0\u201cPeaces\u201d of Art, a silent auction,
\na variety of food entrees and live entertainment on October 5, 2025 at The
