\"\"In celebration of Juneteenth, a film featuring the story of the 5th U.S. Colored Troops in the Civil War will be shown Tuesday, June 17, at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.<\/p>\n

Camp Delaware\u201d chronicles the recruitment, training, battles, bravery and service of the regiment. The film is a recording of a stage production.
\nIt incorporates speeches of political figures of the day, letters from the soldiers and sounds of popular music of the era will bring the unit\u2019s story to life.<\/p>\n

\u201cCamp Delaware\u201d will be shown at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the filmmakers.
\nTickets are $10 and are available online<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the film will benefit the Community Arts Network Performing Arts Scholarship. The scholarship is for Ohio graduating high school Seniors who will be attending an Ohio college or university to pursue a degree in the performing arts. This is the third time this film is being shown at Hayes Presidential. Previous screenings took place in October in conjunction with Hayes Presidential\u2019s Civil War Winter Camp and in February for Black History Month. The film was well-received on both occasions, and the filmmakers and Hayes Presidential wanted to share it again for Juneteenth.<\/p>\n

Hayes Presidential is America\u2019s first presidential library and the forerunner of the federal presidential library system. It is partially funded by the state of Ohio and affiliated with the Ohio History Connection. Hayes Presidential is located at Spiegel Grove on Buckland Avenue.
