Cedric Brock and the congregation of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church for Good Friday service on April 18 at noon, during which the leaders spoke on the meaning of this most important time in the history of Christianity \u2013 the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Robert Birt, Pastor Alvin Dawson, Pastor Damon Horton, Pastor Marquisa Horton, Pastor Linette Harris Guilford, Bishop Darrell Sheares, Pastor Darran Overton, Pastor Brandon Davis, Rev. Michael Carter, and Pastor Chaz Boes were among those who joined Rev. Brock for this celebration of the Good Friday service.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Birt opened the remarks with an address on the words from Luke 23:34, \u201cFather, forgive them, for they know not what they do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After an offering from the Music Ministry, Paster Dawson spoke on the Luke 23:43 phrase: \u201cYou will be with me in paradise; followed by Pastor Marquisa Horton\u2019s view of the John 19:26,27 words: \u201cWoman, behold your son.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15808\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15808\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15808\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Pastor-Marquisa-Horton-preaches-on-the-words-of-John-19-2627-Woman-behold-Your-son-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Pastor-Marquisa-Horton-preaches-on-the-words-of-John-19-2627-Woman-behold-Your-son-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Pastor-Marquisa-Horton-preaches-on-the-words-of-John-19-2627-Woman-behold-Your-son-188x250.jpg 188w, http:\/\/wordpress.thetruthtoledo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Pastor-Marquisa-Horton-preaches-on-the-words-of-John-19-2627-Woman-behold-Your-son.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15808\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pastor Marquisa Horton preaches on the words of John 19 &#8211; 26,27 &#8211; Woman, behold Your son<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Music Ministry sang again before Pastor Overton spoke on Matthew 27:26 words \u201cMy God, My God, why have Thou forsaken me?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thirst\u201d \u2013 the words from John 19:28 were the inspiration for Bishop Shears address and after another presentation from the Music Ministry, Pastor Carter spoke on the word from John 19:30, \u201cIt is finished;\u201d followed by the Pastor Davis\u2019 thoughts on Luke 23:46 \u2013 \u201cFather, into your hands I commit my spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rev.
