So, who doesn\u2019t love a parade! On Saturday, June 15, hundreds of spectators had the opportunity to enjoy Toledo\u2019s Juneteenth parade that symbolized the celebration of this national holiday.<\/p>\n

Dozens of organizations \u2013 schools, community agencies, politicians and candidates, groups looking to make s statement \u2013 walked the route from the corner of Monroe and Summit Streets, north on Summit to Jackson Street and ended with a brief ceremony at One Government Center during a morning blessed with beautiful summer weather.<\/p>\n

Slingshots, Corvettes, tiny cars and a few horses joined the various dance teams for the annual event organized by Community United 419.<\/p>\n

The 10 a.m. holiday parade was just the start of the day full of activities that were designed to celebrate the holiday.<\/p>\n
